I really love this new song by Tenth Avenue North! It's all about how their is nothing we can do to earn our salvation, and it's completely God's rightoeusness that covers are dirt! Great reminder that it's all God and nothing in us! So, as we get ready for church in the morning, let us go to worship our savior that has made us new and covered all our sins! Praise God!!

Wow, it's been a long time!

Wow, it has been so long since I posted, so I decided to say hi! :) I am now in college, and it's going great! I'm living with my brother again, and I am enjoying that! I do miss my family a lot though, as I don't see them nearly as much! But, all in all, life is going well. I made the SVSU golf team, which is really cool, and that's been going well too. So that's my life the last two months! So, I'll close out with these amazing lyrics!

Amazing truths! But do we actually live like we believe it?? I know I don't enough of the time! But we will all keep striving to live as if the Lord is in complete control! Let's keep fighting this fight together my friends!

My first song!

So, I'm finally revealing my first song I wrote to my musical friends tomorrow, because I am planning on playing it in church soon. Here's the words to the chorus: "I need you more than any other thing, I need you more than water or the spring! For God you are my savior and redeemer of my soul! You alone can make me whole!" I wrote on a day when I was just not feeling that well...I was struggling with some sin, and was realizing that I needed God more than any other thing in this world! I love this song, and I hope it encourages someone else as we play it someday! This leads me to another thing...I have recently been dreaming of being a songwriter! I would absolutely love doing that cause I love writting songs! I don't have an amazing voice, so I would never be a singer and sing my own songs, but I would absolutely love to be one of the people that writes songs that other big names use! It's just a dream, and it's far fetched, but it would be an awesome job to have! Anyways, back on planet earth, I hope that my first song goes well....it's surprisingly piano heavy, and I'm usually a guitar heavy person, so that was surprising, but I really like it, so we will see! :) Just wanted to share the chorus with you! I hope it encourages some of you out there! That is the most important thing!

Amazing experience at work

So, I was working this morning...it was a little after 6 am, and it was raining pretty hard. I was mowing away on the golf course, and I was listening to my ipod. I was not enjoying the rain much, but then "By Your Side" by Tenth Avenue North came on! I absolutely love this song, but as soon as it got to the chorus which says, "and I'll be by your side, whenever you fall, in the dead of night, whenever you call"....as soon as I heard that, I looked up and the most beautiful rainbow I have ever seen was in the sky! I was speachless and was stunned by how amazing our God is! The very sign that tells us that God is with us and will keep His promises comes out right during that song! I was mowing greens with some of the biggest goosebumps ever! I couldn't believe how amazing our God is! Thank you, God, for showing me that sight this morning! I needed to see that! Wow, we have an awesome God!! Just had to share that story with you guys!!

Psalm 145: The Lord is gracious

So there is this amazing song by "Shane and Shane" based upon Psalm 145 and it is amazing! Here is the first verse, chorus, and closing!

"One generation will/ commend your kingdom/ to one another/ they will speak of you/ and I will meditate/ on Your wonder/ And they, they will speak/ of Your glorious splendor/ of Your majesty/ everyday I'll praise Thee/ Forever and ever!

So thankful that the Lord is gracious to me, and hears my cry for help! I will stand in awe of your majesty and praise thee forever and ever! Think about these words throughout your day, today! Think about how gracious God is to you and how rich in love He is! Know that when you call on Him, he will hear you and answer you! I hope we all really grasp the great love God has for us, and in turn, devote our lives to bringing glory to Him! Praise God with me today!! We serve an amazing God!

So, I know I've been on a Lecrae kick lately, but I can't help it, I'm just writing what I love at the time, so bear with me! : ) So, I have another song of his that I really like, so I'm gonna put the lyrics here for you!! They are really long, but when you find the time, please read them! I think you'll be able to relate!

He knows Christ but for hours refuses to rest with Him. He's not the best of men but Lord I know he really loves you. And I can't understand why lately he's not thinking of you! Cause he ain't hearing you, and he aint feeling me! And God I know it's killing You, because it's killing me! And matter of fact, there's something else he's concealing see, the person that i've been praying about is really me!"

I so feel like this man all the time!! Totally not doing as God would want me too! Not always doing bad things, just not doing what's best for God! I pray that God will get ahold of us, and get us to pick up His sixty-six book, love letter, and soak it up! That's what we need!! We need that more then anything!! I'm praying for all my friends out there! That we would continue to go after Him strongly! I'd appreciate your prayers for me as well! Where all in this together! But we've got a mighty God who is on our side too! Praise God!! Sorry this was so long!

Wow...that is just verse one, and the other two verses are great too!! We need to live every minute for Christ and show Him to be the greatest treasure we have! Better then anything in our lives! Better then our friends and family and sports and television and books and relationships and food and clothes and cars and computers and what people think of us and what we look like! He needs to be the most important thing in our lives that everything else follows! Oh how I have failed at this all my life, and always seem to fail at! It is such a hard thing to do, and we just need to keep fighting! We are gonna fail a lot, but we need to keep getting up and continue to fight to make Jesus first, cause if we do, He will satisify our hearts with Him more then any other thing in this world! He is the source of true satisfaction and we need to see that! He can bring us true happiness that nothing else can! Please, Father, help us to see that, and help us to make you the center of our lives!! Praying for all my friends out there!! I know we all struggle with this one! I know I do majorly!!

Lecrae's song "Desperate"

I know a lot of people do not like rap/hip hop music, but I can tell you that Christian rap has some of the best lyrics in any songs writen! So, I understand if you don't like the style, but just read the words from part of this song.

We are so sinful, and we are so desprate for Him!! He is the only one who can save us! We need His mercy and grace, and He freely gives!! Love this song! Hey Everyone!

As you can see, I'm writting this one pretty late! I really don't have much to say, which is unusual! : ) Life is really busy right now, and I haven't posted anything in a long time, so I thought I'd just say "hi" for now! : ) Hopefully I'll have something a little more profound to say later! : ) One awesome thing that happened to me today is I got a replacement ipod to replace the one I broke...I got it from one of my most awesome friends ever! She was so nice to let me borrow hers for awhile! Just thought I'd share that excitment with you! Okay...I know you want me to name names, so I just will! Bridget let me borrow hers for awhile, so I owe her big time! : ) So, that was my excitement for the day!! Hope everybody else had a great day!

Happy Easter! He is risen!!

Just wanted to say Happy Easter to everyone!! I like forward to celebrating the resurrection of Christ in four different services tomorrow morning!! Thank you Jesus for shedding your blood for our sins!! Praise Him forevermore!!

I absolutely love this song! It's called "Arms that Hold the Universe" by Fee!! I love the bridge so much (Which is the second paragraph of the quote) that I wrote a song with that as my chorus! This song touched me so much! The arms that hold the universe is holding me! He is in control and will never let me go! Because of that I can hope, I can rise, and I can stand! He's got the whole entire world in His hands! It's amazing to think about! It makes me so thankful to God! So, to all those who are reading this and are having tough times or aren't feeling well...to all those who need a comforter...God is that comforter! Lamentations 3:21-26

"But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. 'The LORD is my portion,' says my soul, 'therefore I will hope in Him.' The LORD is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD."

Our pastor preached on this passage today, and it was such a great message! He explained how the author was writing this during the deepest of hardship for the nation of Israel. He related their situation to what it was for us on 9/11, except have that feeling be drawn out for a full 2 full years instead of a few days! This hit me...I remember exactly what I was doing and the feeling I had when that all happened, and I was only 9 years old! I can't imagine that fear being drawn out over a 2 year period! This is the fear the Israelites were facing! But the author found hope in the steadfast love the Lord! This is so comforting! God's mercies are new every morning...great is thy faithfulness, dear Lord! The Lord is with us in our toughest times, and in or best times! I pray that we would all always wait on the Lord and seek after Him! It's the only thing worth living for! Thank you, Father, for being there in the best and worst of times!

Knowing you

I was at music practice tonight, and a song hit me! The song "Knowing You" really hit me as so amazing! The lyrics are so simple, but so great!
"Knowing You, Jesus, knowing You; There is no greater thing. Your my all, Your my rest, Your my joy my righteousness, and I love You Lord!"
It is such a simple message, but I think that's why we take it for granted! Knowing Jesus is such an amazing thing! We can speak to Him through prayer and His word! How amazing is that? The all-mighty creator of all things allows us to personally talk to Him, and inspired the pages of the Bible we read! He is the one who fills us with joy, and makes our joy full! And not only that, but He is our source of righteousness! Without Christ we are all hopeless sinners, heading for hell! But Christ made a way to be reconciled to God! That is the most amazing thing about "knowing Him"! That is one thing we should constantly be in praise about! Thank you, Jesus, for shedding your blood for me and all my other brothers and sisters in Christ! I love You, Lord!!

Speechless!

I sit here in bed, on this late Sunday night and early Monday morning, speechless, thinking about the love of God towards us! I have no verse or song to recite, just this great thought of His love to send His son to die for us! The sermon today talked about the day of the Lord and how it will be a day of judgement...but God put that judgement on His son for us! God didn't suppress His wrath; if He did, that would make Him unjust; but He choose to pour it out on His son instead! This leaves me so speechless and in great amazement as I sit here! There's nothing in me that deserved His love! I am a wretched sinner, but God's grace covers all those sins! I have nothing to boast in, in myself! I can only boast in Christ my savior! Reminds me of a song we sing at our church, and the chorus goes like this, "This the power of the Cross; Christ became sin for us; took the blame, bore the wrath, we stand forgiven at the Cross!" Thank you, Jesus, for taking the blame for me! I sit in amazement at the thought of Your great love for us!! Praise God!

Psalm 118: The LORD is on my side!

"Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!...Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The LORD is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes...Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; for His steadfast love endures forever!"

The Lord will answer you in your time of distress! He will set you free!! If the Lord is on your side, you can harm you, or who shall you fear? What encouraging words these are, from the psalmist!! I was flipping through my Bible, and landed on this, and it is such an encouragement! It reminds me of the New Testament verse that says if God is for us, who can be against us! Think about it...if the maker of the universe, the very creator of everything, the all-powerful God, is for you...how can anything be against you? The very thing that is against you was created by God, so whom shall we fear? When we have God on our side, their is nothing to fear! He hasn't promised us an easy life, but He did promise that He wouldn't give us anything we couldn't handle. And the greatest promise of all was that He will always be there with us in the good and the bad! Praise God!

Psalm 8: How Majestic is Your Name

"O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You set your glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger. When I look at the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?...O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!" Psalm 8:1-4, 9

How majestic is the Lord!!! He is the all-powerful creator of all things! Go outside on a clear night and look up at the stars, and that alone will bring you to amazement! Our most far-reaching telescope can't bring into visibility even half of the universe! The stars are uncountable! Planets very close to us, in comparison to the universe, are unreachable! God is so powerful it is indescribable! His power is limitless, but His love is everlasting!!! PRAISE GOD! I can imagine David going out at night when he wrote this Psalm. Going out and looking up into the stars and praising God through song by saying, "O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name!" How amazing and majestic is our God! Praise Him with your life today and forever more!

Isaiah 40:30-31

"Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

There's not much more I need to add to this! This is such an amazing verse! It stands alone on it's own!! The Lord will renew our strength and nothing else can! Wait on the Lord because He is the only one who can strengthen you! Praise God for being their to strengthen us so that we can glorify Him in this world! This verse encourages me so much, and tells me that no problem is bigger then God! Their is nothing He can't get us through! Thank you Father for providing strength to me!
